During Studio Explorations this week, we are making bracelets and necklaces.  While this is an artistic endeavor, children are also exersizing their fine motor skills as they crochet rubber band bracelets, string glass beads, and create original Fimo beads.  I have also enjoyed seeing mathematical thinking, as some children are choosing to create patterns, count, and make various three-dimensional bead shapes.
